How I got here

For as long as I have existed I have been connected to magic. I’ve carried a deep knowing that there is more to our world than the systems we have in place - and more to our identities than our jobs, titles, preferences, skills, or experiences. 

I had a tough time focusing on the things other kids focused on - like which clothing brand I should be wearing, who was at the top of the popularity-food-chain, or who was coupling with each other. 

Instead, I was plagued and propelled by existential questions about right and wrong, suffering, socioeconomic imbalances, and my place in the universe. This line of questioning in me was unceasing, and it gave way to many years of insomnia, introspection, and alienation from my peers. I mostly spent time with teachers and adults, asking questions about their beliefs and experiences - for as long as they would tolerate me in one sitting. It wasn’t long before I realized I would not find the answers talking to adults either - because each of them had their own individual lens on life depending on the conditioning they were subject to. 

So, I hit the books. I was interested in science, philosophy, and religion. Not practicing religion, following religion, or a specific religion - but the connections they all seemed to have to each other. The first and most influential religious text I dug into was a book called the Tao Te Ching, which was given to me by an English teacher in my last year of middle school. This book connected me to something ancient and unnamable, and in every religious text to follow, I could feel the spirit of the Tao Te Ching within it. 

In high school, a drive to share the things I was learning led me to join the competitive speech team where I wrote and performed an 8 minute script titled “Unbounded.” At the heart of the piece was the concept that the only true constant in our lives is change. Here I found my love for storytelling, and sharing all of the things that liberate me with the world. I rose to the Minnesota State level in my first year.

When it came time for college, I couldn’t ease the ache I had to deepen my human experience. I craved culture, travel, and something bigger than myself - all things my sage, but rebellious teenage brain, was convinced I couldn’t have by attending college and working a 9-5 job. I signed a contract with the United States Marine Corps and shipped out for boot camp just a few days after graduating high school. 

In bootcamp, I had a near death experience during a final test called the Crucible. You must complete and pass the Crucible to be awarded the title of Marine. The Crucible is a 54 hour long training exercise where we hike 50 miles with 45 pound packs on just 6 hours of sleep and a few meals. 

At the finish line, after receiving my Eagle Globe and Anchor - a ceremonial symbol of becoming a Marine - I collapsed onto the concrete of the parade deck.

My core body temperature had risen to 107, causing a heat stroke and rhabdomyolysis. I suffered extreme muscle aches and amnesia, recovering in the hospital over the course of two days before returning to my platoon and attending my boot camp graduation. My medical team emphasized that if I had continued to push myself any longer in the South Carolina heat, that I may not be here today. 

I went on to serve my five year contract at Headquarters Marine Corps Base Quantico, where my job was to write, gather information, and capture historic and influential moments in time. I took photos out of helicopters, documented marathons, funerals, retirements, shooting competitions, notable ceremonies, and even landed an exclusive interview with the 26th U.S. Secretary of Defense and four-star General, James Mattis. 

I was completely surrounded by human beings from all walks of life, countries, beliefs, experiences, and trajectories. I was challenged every day - physically, mentally, often both. Despite enduring several periods of intense suffering throughout my military career, my time as a Marine was an absolutely fated, foundational time in my life. 

Midway through my contract, something truly pivotal happened. My barracks roommate gave me my first ever tarot reading with a deck that had been passed down three generations. In this reading, things came up that I had never spoken aloud, and feelings that I’d never been able to put words to were explained in depth. It completely shifted the way I see religion, the world, the afterlife, and mysticism. It opened the door to an even deeper world than I existed in before. 

I spent the last two years of my Marine Corps contract distracted and immersed in the exploration of countless rabbit holes of schools of thought, divination systems, and energy work. Here is where I began to awaken subtle, natural born gifts that each one of us has access to. 

At the end of my contract, I received an award for the honorable 5 years of service I gave to the Marine Corps. I packed everything I owned into my manual hatchback Ford SVT, and drove twenty-two hours straight across the country with just four gas stops, three energy drinks, a coffee, and a bag of sour patch kids. 

Following my Marine Corps contract - while living in my mom's spare bedroom - I went on to soft launch my business, VerryOmni Spiritual Wellness while attending St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. There I earned 3 separate degrees; a General Associates, a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. At this time, I also worked closely with my first set of clients and dove deep into the profound world of synchronicity, spirituality, and subtle energies. 

I grew my business while attending college, slowly and organically from the ground up, by word of mouth, insane coincidences, excellent reviews, events, testimonials, and community engagement. 

After graduating in 2024, I took everything I learned from the military, college, and my metaphysical studies into my local community, where I worked directly with thousands of unhoused, at-risk individuals, children, and veterans. I facilitated meditation classes, provided emotional support, basic needs, and meals. I continued to see clients virtually and in person, launched my website, and partnered with a gold standard metaphysical shop in St. Cloud, Minnesota called Mind Body Spirit, where I taught classes and provided readings. 

In early 2025, intuition, perfect timing, and divine friendship led me to travel to the island of Oahu, Hawaii. During this trip I connected deeply with a long-time friend, and decided I would move to Oahu to expand my business and myself. 

 I spent my last year before moving cozied up in a tall 1900’s duplex in the nature rich, unique port town of Duluth, Minnesota, where I saw clients virtually and partnered with one of the most intentionally crafted, energetically warm metaphysical shops in the midwest - Alchemy of Superior, Wisconsin. 

Although I had every intention of taking the time I had left in Minnesota looking inward, studying, and developing myself - the universe had other plans for me. 

I booked a reading with a talented practitioner in the area known as Two of Wands Tarot, (because even tarot readers have tarot readers!) and learned that I would soon meet someone romantically that would greatly impact my life.

With the cards right in front of me, I pleaded with her,

“I don’t understand… I am moving five thousand miles across the ocean in less than a year, and I am focusing completely on myself right now. I don’t see how this could happen?” Well, I met the love of my life at the gym one week later - and when I moved to Hawaii, he came with me.

I made my dream of living on the Hawaiian Islands a manifested reality - and relocated there with my soulmate in June of 2026. I write this from a comfy chair, under the shade of my lanai, the November Oahu breeze drafting through. I am reflecting on all of the little things that needed to happen for me to end up exactly where I am.

With nearly twenty years of spiritual, ideological, scientific, and other worldly exploration - to say that I am filled with gratitude is an understatement. I am consumed with awe, an indescribable inner peace, and the same yearning for the beyond that led me to the Tao Te Ching 15 years ago. 

Today, I meet with clients from all over the world - aiming to connect with, liberate, educate, empower, awaken, heal, and learn from as many people as this lifetime will allow me to. 

While I still dedicate a significant amount of my time to continuous study and spiritual development, I am currently proficient and knowledgeable in the following modalities and methods;

meditation, astrology, tarot, mind to body connection, physical and holistic wellness, nutrition, feminine cycle syncing, subconscious reprogramming, shadow integration, visualization techniques, breathwork, planetary magick, contacting and healing the inner child, cleansing and purifying spaces, cleansing self, identifying and eradicating self-limiting beliefs, manifestation, repairing and restoring foundational energy centers/chakras, identifying and dislodging energy blockages, disarming harmful thought forms, and much more! I cannot seem to stop studying.
